HAYES\, Leake and Andersson\n\nMr. Hayes focuses his practice both on litigation and international trade and business transactions. He has extensive litigation experience\, dating back to 1996 when he clerked for the Honorable Gerald P. Fedoroff of the Civil District Court\, Parish of Orleans. Since that time he has represented domestic and international clients in products liability\, insurance\, maritime\, warranty/redhibition\, and professional malpractice cases in state and federal courts throughout the Gulf South region. His litigation practice includes the defense of mass casualty\, class action and multi-district litigation cases. \n\n\nMr. Hayes also leads the firm's international trade and business transaction practice\, covering import/export transactions\; international sales of goods and services\; disputes under bilateral investment treaties\; international intellectual property matters\, and antidumping\, countervailing duty and other trade remedy proceedings before the Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission. Mr. Hayes provides government affairs services in Washington and Baton Rouge\, primarily related to international economic investment programs associated with free trade agreements.\n\n\n\nBILL FRYMOYER\, Stewart and Stewart\n\nSince 2005\, Bill has led the firm's government relations efforts with the Federal Legislative and Executive Branches of government. He works with a variety of U.S. business\, agricultural\, and non-profit clients on areas of expertise\, including intellectual property\, international trade\, economic\, energy\, manufacturing and tax issues. Bill educates on key issues\, works to build support for Congressional legislation or Executive Branch initiatives or endeavors to block such efforts. \n\n\n\nBill served as Senior Policy Advisor to House Democratic Leader Richard A. Gephardt from 1999-2003. In that capacity\, he was Gephardt's lead policy person on international trade and economic issues\, as well as energy\, environment\, tax\, and technology issues. He started his career with Gephardt in 1991 as Research Director. Currently\, Bill is on the Board of Directors for the Gephardt Institute at Washington University. \n\n\n\nC. DAVID VEAL\, American Shrimp Processors Association\n\nDavid Veal received a BS and MS degree in engineering from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. degree in engineering from Clemson University. During his 35-year tenure with Mississippi State University\, he served as a professor of Agricultural Engineering and Director of the Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi\, MS. After retiring from MSU\, he assumed the role as Director of the American Shrimp Processors Association (ASPA) in 2007. Dr. Veal is the author of numerous publications\, many of which focus on the Gulf seafood industry and the shrimp industry\, in particular.
