Summary:

While the benefits offered by Free Trade Agreements such as NAFTA have dramatically increased trade between the U.S. and its partners, many U.S. businesses have not been able to take advantage of FTAs, often simply for lack of understanding the basics. With the long-awaited implementation of USMCA finally coming on July 1, 2020, now would be an excellent time for businesses to learn about this agreement as it begins to take effect. This webinar will also cover general principles and terminology that are common to all Free Trade Agreements, so that participants will be able to navigate not only USMCA but any FTA that governs trade with a current or potential partner country. With the knowledge conveyed in Day 1, participants will be better able to understand and participate in a practical discussion featuring high-level officials from all three signatory governments, on Day 2.

In addition to theoretical and practical information, participants will come away with contacts who can address offline any specific USMCA-related issues of an individual company and who can provide support on an ongoing basis for the real-life concerns faced by a company after USMCA has been implemented.
